In our busy lives, creating a space that feels warm, inspiring, and uniquely yours is more important than ever. One of the easiest and most impactful ways to achieve this is by incorporating art into your home. I believe artworks are not just decoration, they are a reflection of your personality, a source of inspiration, and a catalyst for positive energy.
Firstly, art adds personality and character to your living space. Whether it’s a bright painting, a delicate print, or a commissioned piece, art helps tell your story. It transforms a blank wall into a focal point that sparks conversation and creates a sense of belonging. When you choose art that resonates with you, your home becomes a true reflection of who you are.
Secondly, art has the ability to influence your mood and wellbeing. Surrounding yourself with colours, textures, and images that evoke positive feelings can reduce stress and boost happiness. For example, whimsical women or abstract pieces with vibrant colours can energise or soothe, depending on your needs. It’s like having a personal sanctuary that lifts your spirits daily.
Thirdly, art can inspire creativity and mindfulness. When you engage with artwork, whether by creating your own or simply appreciating it, you invite a sense of presence and reflection into your life. It encourages us to see the world through a different lens, nurturing your imagination and a sense of possibility.
This artwork "Breathing Beyond The To Do List" is all about taking the time to disconnect from business, from the pressures of life and go into nature to recharge and reset. The background is printed with leaves and flowers from my garden which is an inspiration to me.

Finally, investing in art supports local artists and creatives. I’m passionate about creating authentic, meaningful pieces for women and their families which add value to your home and wellbeing.
This artwork "You are more than the labels you give me" for example is for every women. It is for those of us who may be mothers but know there is more than that label. It is for women who are not mothers and the labels society give to them, they are more than that.

Art in your home is much more than decoration. It’s a powerful way to personalise your space, elevate your mood, inspire your creativity, and support local talent. So why not start exploring the art that speaks to you today? Your home and your soul will thank you.
If you are looking for inspiration, please visit my exhibition from 1 May to 1 June 2025, open every Thursday to Sunday from 10am to 4pm. The official opening is Saturday 3 May from 2 to 4pm, where there will be free drinks and nibbles.
I titled my show Balancing Acts: A Journey Through Motherhood. My vibrant artworks capture the struggles and triumphs of motherhood, highlighting the mental load and guilt women often carry while balancing work and family life. This exhibition also honours those who have chosen not to be mothers or faced that decision beyond their control. It celebrates the diverse experience of womanhood.
My creations incorporate traditional mixed media materials, but keep a lookout for backgrounds printed with chocolate, teabags, nature-inspired items, and Lego!
Additionally, Gina Harrowell, Joni Gersbach, Rhonnie Toole, Sally Gersbach, and Tanya Taggart will be exhibiting their show Little Windows. Zorana McDavitt will present her show Circularis. Laurent Rivory’s sculpture Tumbling Eagle and The Defiant will also be on display.
