***Part of Balancing Acts: A Mother's Journey at Braemar Gallery in Springwood 1st May-1st June.
Official opening Saturday 3rd 2-4pm***
I painted this in a series of 4. I wanted them to be about stereotypes, labels, mother guilt, balancing life and the wisdom you gain from growing older.
One thing about getting older is settling into who you are and not having to copy the latest fads or stereotypes. I have always been a black sheep and felt on the outer but now I really don't care. I love my weirdness and quirks.
Are you unapologetically you or on your way there?
What is holding you back?
Take a look through all the photos to see how it was made starting outside in my garden with our bearded dragon watching on.
