This moody girl has lots of layers of gesso, acrylic paint, ink, pen, pencil, washi tape and pastels.
She is dark yet still has a stong sense of inner peace about her.
 
The under layer of gesso has been scratched and stamped and written on to give the painting texture. The word "Continuity" is scratched more than once. It kept popping into my head as I was thinking of what to do. It means:
1. the unbroken and consistent existence of something over time.
2. a state of stability and the absence of disruption.
3. the state or quality of being continuous; connected and coherent
4. the fact that something continues to happen or exist, with no great changes or interruptions.
