Regenerate is an ode to the bush fires constantly threatening the Blue Mountains where I live. The last couple of years we have had La Nina so we have had a bit of a reprieve. When bushfire season comes around, emotions are triggered, anxiety is high, new skills are learnt to protect our families and homes and emergency bags are packed. Even though it can be stressful, I wouldn't change anything. I love my home.
 
In the end, after the fires have been through, nature is strong and prevails. Foliage regrows, nature regenerates.
 
All 3 canvases have:
* oil pastel shapes in 2 or more colours
* collage from my own gelli printed paper
* 3 acrylic colours similar to the colours of the collage painted with a palette knife
* finger painted dots
* high flow acrylics dripped down them
* marks, outlines or patterns drawn with posca pens.
* extra details drawn on the edges with poscas
 
I absolutely love how different all three turned out.
